UNDERFLOOR HEATING - SAY <> TO COMFORT
CRETA ENERGON, having many years of experience in the installation of underfloor heating, can provide you with solutions for the needs of your space.
Ιs there any Efficient heating without radiator bodies or other "visible" devices?
There is and it is underfloor heating, which in recent years has been widely used, mainly due to the space saving it offers but also its economic operation compared to conventional systems.
Underfloor heating is mainly applied in the last two decades, however, few people know that this particular system was already known since ancient times as archaeological research has shown that during the Roman era the underfloor heating system was successfully used.
How underfloor heating works?
In an underfloor heating system, the basic devices used are the same as those of conventional systems: burner, boiler, circulator, while any fuel can be used (oil, natural gas, etc.). The difference lies in the fact that the final recipients of the hot water are not the radiators but the floor itself, which acts as a radiator. After the floor is thermally insulated from below, a system of pipes is spread which transport the hot water over its entire surface.
The pipes distribute the heat where it is needed (rather than the basement or exterior walls) and perform with minimal inertia and with a lower supply water temperature. Thus, the floor heats up slowly and radiates the heat into the air. In this way, uniform heating of the air is achieved, from the bottom up, and not a concentration of the heating near the bodies.
