NET METERING: REFLECTION ON ENERGY INCREASE

With the recent surge in energy prices and the facilitation of self-production procedures, many are considering the solution of net metering, or in other words the offsetting of produced and consumed energy, a solution that is now provided by several suppliers and allows for the consumer to become a power producer.

The photovoltaic systems, which we install as part of net metering, are connected to the public grid. The electricity they produce is absorbed directly by the consumer and if there is excess energy produced, it is channeled into the energy manager's network, while it is then offset against the electricity consumed by the property owner. The netting is energy. At the end of each measurement period, the amount owed to the provider will be equal to the value of the kilowatt hours (kWh), resulting from the difference between the energy we produce and the energy we consume. If the difference is zero then we will not pay for the electricity we consumed. If the difference is in excess, then the excess power is carried over to the next account until the three-year cycle is closed and cleared. To measure the electricity produced by the Photovoltaic system, a meter is installed, which measures the energy produced by the Photovoltaic system.

The basic terms and conditions for the installation of photovoltaic self-production systems with energy compensation are:

1) The existence of an active permanent power supply in the name of the self-producer through which his consumption facility is supplied.
2) The photovoltaic system is assigned exclusively to a consumption meter, i.e. to the meter of the consumption installation it supplies.
3) The photovoltaic system is installed in the same or adjacent space as the consumption installation to which it is assigned.
4) The interested party has the legal use of the system installation space.
5) The interested party has fully paid the electricity bills of the relevant Supplier (or has joined a debt settlement regime).

Our office fully undertakes the entire process for your photovoltaic. From the study, licensing, supply of the equipment, installation and connection to the public network. We deliver the photovoltaic system to its owner functional, interconnected and with a guarantee of good operation.
